** THOUGHT FOR THE DAY ** Work like you don't need money, Love like you've never been hurt, And dance like no one's watching Hello again my dear friends. I know it has been too long since my last newsletter, but I have been so busy since then with my readings, teaching, travel, and private life... A few illnesses of my own here and there. I have been visiting my mother in Dallas every so often too, which is always such a treasured event for me. I always come back home refreshed and full of new "thought". She is the most remarkable woman I have ever met, and I feel that is worth mentioning. I must say however, that when I get just outside of Dallas I can feel the city's heavy energy and stress level like a cloud lowering on me. I now live way out in the country in East Texas, and it is so peaceful and quiet here. I'm originally from Ft. Worth/Dallas area, with about 13 years of Los Angeles under my belt too, so I guess you might call me a city girl who traded for the country in my mid-life. I'm very glad I did, and so is my husband who is originally from the Panhandle of Texas. He once told my mother that "rush hour where we live is when two cars come to a 4-way stop sign at the same time." THE NEXT MILLENNIUM The new millennium is upon us and people are predicting momentous changes and events in our world. However, the most far-reaching changes of the next one thousand years will come from within each one of us. You are a spiritual pioneer, alive during one of the most exciting and challenging times in human evolution---the dawn of the next millennium. You, and many others like you, have taken on the task of exploring new and previously unknown horizons of spiritual awareness. Perhaps you have noticed that the unfoldment of your life is less predictable than it once was. Perhaps you have felt a mixture of both anxiety and excitement that the events of your life have a significance and purpose which is leading you to greater understanding of the real reason you are alive. Perhaps old solutions are failing you and you are finding yourself more receptive to new ways of looking at yourself, others, and God. Congratulations, my friend! You have joined the brave band of souls who are ushering humanity into an expanded realm of unexplored possibility. The miracle of these changing times has little to do with changing dates on your calendar. It has everything to do with the opening of your mind and heart to a new way of experiencing life. Events in our lives are the result of the thoughts which occupy our minds. So it is as you and I move into the twenty first century. The new millennium is but an external symbol of the new and dynamic thoughts that are moving into the minds of people everywhere. Historically, thresholds into a new century are marked with all kinds of predictions. The next millennium is no exception. We are hearing from those who predict the dawn of spiritual enlightenment as well as the tragedy of Armageddon. The truth is that, regardless of worldly events that lie ahead, only you will decide what the new millennium will be. Your millennial experience will be dictated by the thoughts you are holding about it. Therin lies the value of this unique and wonderful activity of Spirit. Y2K and Y-Not? Y2K is truly an event of global consequences that we private citizens will have to deal with at the local level. The only prudent physical option you have is to get ready -- personally (and hopefully, community-wise). Don't forget your pets - they need for you to tend to their needs too. I have been giving a lot of thought lately to Y2K, and wanted to mention some things here. I strive to be a positive thinker and doer. I heard someone say, "How can God let this happen to us??" Oh, my goodness, God gave us our very breath of life, and an amazing machine for our souls to move around in, (our bodies). He even made us a grand planet in which to move that machine around on. He gave us a mind to use and explore, love and create with. And He gave us one another. My dear, MAN created the computer and all its chips. It is we who pocket the keys to this earth. So if you want to ask why the Y2K computer and industry mayhem is happening, better start with Bill Gate's ancestors, not God! However, given the facts pro and con from extensive reading of so many newspapers, the internet, and speaking with highly reputable computer guru's etc., I am at the least trying to prepare my home in the event of losing conveniences for a spell. I have taken into consideration the fact that we are indeed in a "computer chip" world, and once the computers go down, it could bring on so many problems for us....since almost everything physical in our lives is dependent on computers. My personal "common sense advice" is to keep on hand: batteries, warm blankets, lighters/matches, non-perishable foods, water, koolaid or other powdered fruit drinks, toilet paper, shampoo, toothpaste, pet food, and extra gasoline. And how about a book or two to read that has hugh print so you can read by candlelight. haha Don't forget a supply of your prescription medicine, vitamin pills, soaps, and a large boiling pot.... Save copies of financial transactions and bank statements. Beware and 'be aware' of Y2K con artists. (That's prudent in modern life. There's so many things that can interrupt our lives.) If none of these extras prove to be needed afterall in Y2K, just think, you won't have to shop for a long time! But you will be prepared somewhat if they are needed. There are many good Y2K websites online, and I personally like http://year2000news.com which is a complilation of newspaper articles from around the world delivered to my email-box once a week. This gives me a broader perspective of the subject, rather than strictly focusing on mute points by few. "Our life is what our thoughts make it."----Marcus Aurelius MORE ON FREE WILL Karma, is the sum of the consequences of one's own thoughts, words, or deeds in this and previous lifetimes. It is a force generated by consciousness or actions that conditon this and future lives...it is what you yourself produce to keep a smooth journey of eternal life. Always remember "what goes around, comes around". (Makes you want to share that last piece of pie, now, doesn't it?) There is a reason for everything, and I don't claim to know the reason for everyone's trials and tribulations, or lot in life. As far as predictions and forecasts go, I am given that information from spirit through channeling (to make a long story short) to pass on to others. But even that forecast can change due to your free will...(subconscious and conscious decisions.) There are many reasons for your troubles, and one must look inside to truly discover them. Have you ever realized that when you are very upset, it's never for the reason you think it is? It is up to you to contemplate and dig down and "up" for the meanings in your life. I can help you, but I assure you that I will not "make things happen." I can only give you the information specifically for you as I am given it, and then I do try not to intervene too much. I am just like you, but I use my sensitive abilities to hear and channel from the spirit world. This is my life's work, to help you in this way. But this is your life, your karma, your lessons. The struggles you are having are for a reason. Perhaps it has to do with the way you have viewed different things or aspects in your life...money, materialism, situations, negativity, people, events. I once was asked, "So who promised you a rose garden?!!" I did a double-take, a fast turn-around on that one. Things are not what they appear to be. We never really know the motive or consciousness behind someone's actions. Any act can be a tool for the ego, or an avenue for the Holy Spirit. We inherit the world, we build with our thoughts. Pray for enlightenment... For guidance with your life, your path, and for abundance. When one genuinely prays for abundance it is given...in many ways. Psychic Counselor/Consultant: IT MEANS..... THINGS THAT MAKE YOU GO "HMMMMMM" Yesterday I got a cup of coffee and stepped outside for a few minutes. While I was outside I noticed that there are a lot of dandelions in the grass, hundreds of them in fact. This morning I walked right past them and didn't see them. Now, because I didn't see them when I walked past them, does that mean they where not there this morning?...or that I was just not aware of them? I think that the next time I go outside I will certainly notice the dandelions and probably notice that there are even more than I saw before. :) You must realize that there is no substance to upsetting emotions and fantasies. Instead of indulging the past, and making yourself a slave to it, through observation you can confront the upset and guilt of the past and stop it here and now. Most people think that when these thoughts and pains of the past occur to them, they have to do something about them: They have to explain, justify, feel guilt. But there is nothing you have to do, except observe and learn from them. Saint Vincent de Paul Even as mankind is relentlessly searching for God, he finds himself engulfed by more and more misery. What is the reason for this state of affairs? "Attachment to the body is the root cause of all suffering and misery. Once this attachment ends, then one can experience divine bliss. There is no doubt about that. Since God does not have any bodily attachment, he does not attach any importance to the suffering of His "body." And the hollow reverberating voices of questions cease, your heart's well fills with joy and you understand why your pull to search was so strong. Life is short, our time on earth is fleeting, it is up to us and no one else to listen and search and find ourselves amidst the rush of the world and the pressures of life.
